License Plate Recognition & Vehicle Access Control

EvTrack integrates with leading ANPR camera platforms to automate vehicle access - syncing license plate whitelists, verifying plates in real-time or offline, and triggering barrier or boom gate control on authorised entry.

How ANPR Access Control Works

  1. 1

A vehicle license plate is pre-registered in EvTrack with a validity period and whitelist status.

  2. 2

EvTrack syncs the plate credential to the ANPR camera via the camera's API.

  3. 3

When a vehicle approaches, the camera performs license plate recognition.

  4. 4

In Online mode, the camera queries EvTrack to verify the plate in real-time. In Offline (Edge) mode, the camera checks its local whitelist - no server round-trip required.

  5. 5

If authorised, the camera triggers its relay output - raising the boom gate or unlocking the barrier.

  6. 6

The recognition event (plate number, direction, confidence, timestamp) is pushed back to EvTrack and logged as an access control event.

  7. 7

On credential expiry or visitor checkout, EvTrack removes the plate from the device whitelist automatically.
